Director of Randy Rhoads Film Attacks "Ultimate Randy Rhoads"

I just sent in a simple "friend request" on MySpace to Peter Margolis, Director of the Randy Rhoads Film.

I was totally surprised and crushed by his response!

"Why are you honoring Kevin Dubrow by having the link to his bullshit statement "THE TRUTH......"
Get rid of that link and I will be happy to add you as a friend. You have a link to me and the film which is great however,
I am not adding any friend that has a link to anything related to Kevin Dubrow. "

Here is my reply:

"The link to Kevin Dubrow's statement is there as a "news" item, nothing more, in the same way that I would report anything that has to do with Randy. I report it for the fans, in an unbiased fashion, not to take sides in any way.
I cancelled my friend request with you. What happened or happens between your camp and the Kevin Dubrow camp, or any other camp for that matter, is a personal matter between you and them.
I don't appreciate anyone dictating how I will run my site or Profile, as you would not appreciate anyone dictating to you.
Randy was an a big part of my life and this is my way of giving back to him and keeping his memory alive. It is a big shock to me that you would attack me because of your deep rooted feelings for Kevin Dubrow.
I was looking forward to the film and was very excited that Randy's story was finally going to be told and I was excited about the attention the film was giving to Randy.
This just totally ruined the film for me, because I'm always going to associate this attack with it.
Thanks for ruining! "

He has every right to deny a "friend request," but there is no need for unsolicited personal attacks! Is he really interested in making the best film possible about Randy Rhoads, or is he more interested in making Randy Rhoads fans take his side on issues? He has the Rhoads' approval and control of the film. Why get involved in petty feuds and risk alienating Randy Rhoads fans? What would the Rhoads family think about situations like this?

I was really excited about the new interest the film was bringing to Randy and how it was re-energizing all of his fans. That is why it is such a shock and disappointment that this has occurred! It was harsh and totally uncalled for!

The "Ultimate Randy Rhoads" site and MySpace Profile are my way of giving s omething back to Randy, for all of the inspiration and motivation that he provided to me.

The links to the Randy Rhoads film and Forums will remain, as they are there for the fans to learn more about Randy. If I were to take them down, it would be a great injustice to Randy. He had nothing to do with this, but then again,..... neither did I!
